WORK ETHIC BEING KILLED BY EDUCATION FOR SALE

WORK ETHIC BEING KILLED BY EDUCATION FOR SALE
By Domenick Maglio PhD    Neo Traditionalist

Education in America is a top cultural priority. We are spending a higher percentage of our gross national product on education than any other country. The results of our high financial expenditures has not been good. We rank internationally in the middle range of academic proficiency of the nations of the world.

For three years Korean high school students anticipate the mid-November national day of testing for the college entrance exam. The Korean’s work -day starts an hour later to accommodate the students’ access to testing centers, airplanes are re-routed to minimize distractions and cheerleaders assemble to motivate these future leaders to do well on this most important day.

Contrast this with Rosemont Middle School in Goldsboro, NC where the school is selling 20 test points for $20 as a fundraiser. This practice sends a message to students and parents that studying is less important than their pocketbook for attaining higher education in America.

Some government programs that pay students to merely attend school or maintain certain minimal objectives further diminish the work ethic of students. Other public schools exempt senior high students from academic testing during their senior year.  Many high schools have been dumbing down standards and changing the focus of school from academic achievement to an enjoyable and glamorous social environment. Grade inflation is undermining the integrity of our educational institutions in the USA.

An outcome of these educational antics to citizens should be surprising and confusing. There has been a decrease in school dropouts and a boom in college enrollment in 2008.  The Pew Research Center reports approximately 40% of students from 18 to 24 years were enrolled in college. In 2008, 9.3% of 18-23 year-olds had dropped out of school compared with 10.2 in 2007.

The increased number of students remaining in school and attending college is not an indication of increased quality. The mediocre international ranking in academic subjects: reading, math and science shows we are not screening out the uncommitted or unable but pampering them.

We have created an entitlement mentality. School in America has become a right not a privilege. We are witnessing our educational system’s death of the work ethic.

Awarding all students inflated grades makes teacher and administrator’s lives easier in the short run although it establishes a precedence that erodes their power.
This power of determining how to run a classroom and school fairly and efficiently is sacrificed on the altar of appeasement to parents and students.

The lowest-common-denominator approach to education eventually weakens all students. Our students think they are entitled to good grades without having to earn them. As our educational bureaucrats lower the expectations and standards in order to help them graduate we are hurting both the motivated and unmotivated, the productive and unproductive.  Our entire society suffers when our brightest are not challenged to learn the self-discipline needed for excellence.

Competition and honest evaluation of students invigorates the school’s academics. Dedicated students need to be given credit for their effort and achievement.  Academic programs should be difficult in order to motivate students to reach and establish their top level of performance, which lifts the standards of the entire program.

Students who are not able or willing to do their academic assignments may find technical studies or the labor market more to their liking. Children who have an appetite or desire for academic pursuits should not be held back by students who do not want to be in an academic setting.  Students who want to do well should be encouraged to move forward as far as their eagerness and their talents take them.

We can no longer cajole, bribe, or coerce students into something they do not choose to be. Forcing a round peg into a square hole is an unwise approach. Encouraging all students to attend institutions of higher learning can increase the numbers attending although it will dilute the caliber of the students. Devising tactics like paying for grades reduces the value of everyone’s diploma. It is as deplorable an act as it is dishonest. It robs the hardworking student of his just and hard earned rewards.

America’s greatness has not been based on deceptive evaluation but on the honest work ethic of its people.  Returning to grade integrity will weed out non-committed students increasing the dropout rate but also will increase the quality of our education on the international level.

GOVERNMENT/CORPORATE BIG BROTHER LEADS TO HIGHWAY ROBBERY

GOVERNMENT/CORPORATE BIG BROTHER LEADS TO HIGHWAY ROBBERY
By Domenick J. Maglio PhD   Neo Traditionalist

Local, state and federal governments are in deep financial trouble. As big corporations outsource and small businesses close, more citizens are becoming unemployed. Revenues dry up.  The choice of government is either to increase taxes or cut back on services and workers to balance their books.

Small businesses know they must maintain a profit to stay in operation.  By necessity they demand more of their workers and cut back on personnel to become more efficient.

Government bureaucracies have little motivation to downsize their kingdom.  It is the ability to tax at will that is a disincentive to streamlining and innovating.  Instead of trimming the fat they just increase taxes.

To government officials hidden taxes are the best taxes. These government bureaucrats are jubilant when they find another devious way to collect more tax money without having to have the approval of the people. They may not be efficient but they are innovative.

The list of these deceptive methods of increasing the tax base is creative. There are excise taxes, surcharges, payroll taxes and hundreds of items that call for a sales tax but how these came about is beyond our comprehension.  Floridians pay a hurricane tax when they pay auto insurance and numerous kinds of taxes lumped together when buying a gallon of gasoline.

The latest scam to get money is for government to outsource traffic violations and revenue collection to a corporation.  It is not about safety, it is about revenue. The National Motorist Association contends that red-light cameras are a detriment to motorist safety and have five studies to prove it.

The company sets up cameras on intersections in a city and reviews the tape for any traffic infractions. The city receives a part of every ticket paid, which can add up to a significant sum.  The company is in charge of the entire collection process and receives what is left of the highway robbery.  The local government and the company make out like bandits. The losers are often the unsuspecting, law abiding citizens.

The operation is sold to the public through newspaper marketing.  Articles are written about apprehending dangerous people blatantly speeding through red lights. There is no mention of other possible offenses like turning right on a red light, which is legal in the state of Florida. Hardly anyone would approve of this operation if the fact were known they could receive a $129 ticket weeks later in the mail for a technicality in turning right on a red light.

To play judge and jury the company uses cameras to videotape the intersection 24/7. The video of a turn on a red light does not tell the entire story.  Is an appropriate stop on or just after the white line so the driver turning right can see oncoming traffic?  How many seconds does it take to consider a stop, a stop? When cars are turning from the intersecting road, which means there is no hazard for the car turning right, does the driver have to come to a complete stop when a turning light has not been provided? The ticket arrives in the mail weeks after when the driver has no recollection of the specifics of the situation.

All decisions are determined at the business office of the corporation in another state. The only recourse to challenge the ticket is not in front of an elected judge but before a lawyer appointed by the city as a traffic-hearing officer. The process of making an appointment to question the ticket means calling the out-of-state money making company and after a prolonged wait, talking to a representative.

In this slick scheme the city administrators and sheriffs office are off the hook for being accountable for justifying the ticket. The company does its dirty work for a percentage of the revenue. Outsourcing the traffic violations works well for the city and the company but does not provide law-abiding citizens with an objective and unbiased hearing. The appointed hearing officer of the city has no accountability to the citizenry since he cannot be voted out of office as can an elected judge.

Government/corporate marriage leads to Big Brother. Government sanctioning of using cameras to raise revenue is a slippery slope.  Arbitrarily micromanaging of people’s behavior will result in greater control of citizens, fear and a loss of freedom and assets.

All citizens realize that government bureaucracy is hard to navigate and is time consuming. By adding another layer of a corporate maze it makes it even more difficult to receive justice.  The statement, You can’t fight city hall, should be changed to, It is harder to fight outsourced corporations hired by city hall than fight city hall directly.

Instead of being bilked out of our freedom and money Americans should demand cutbacks in government services, manpower and fee collection including traffic control. We must work harder to keep our money and freedom by carefully examining the proposed laws our legislators want us to finance and endure.

Freedom takes our vigilance and sacrifice.

NOBEL PREACE PRIZE: OUT OF THE CLOSET

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE: OUT OF THE CLOSET
By Domenick J. Maglio PhD  Neo Traditionalist

The mainstream media has always heralded the Nobel Peace Prize as an award chosen by a committee of objective, unbiased peace loving dignitaries. The Nobel Peace Prize has been considered above reproach. ‘

The people who are selected are supposed to be have shown deeds that have advanced peace in the world. There are few citizens of the world that would be against the promotion of individuals who have courageously done deeds to avoid conflict.

The Nobel Peace Prize has been a highly sought after award that not only has a significant monetary award of $1.4 million but more importantly gives the person worldwide notoriety as an agent of peace.

Indisputable facts have surfaced that have made it obvious that peace is not the primary objective of the Norwegian committee of five. These elites are using their prestigious honor to spread their one-world-government objective.

The award took even President Obama, who is not known for his personal humility, aback.  He stated, “I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee…to be honest, I do not feel I deserve to be in the company of so many transformational figures who have been honored by this award.”

President Obama’s assessment is correct. He was 11 days in office when nominated and a total of 8 months into his administration where his primary focus has been on dismantling our capitalistic economy. His foreign policy efforts have been international orations: words not deeds.

In his short span in office, Iran and North Korea’s nuclear programs continue to expand.  Dictator Chavez of Venezuela has increased his attacks on democratic countries and Arab-Israeli hostilities have increased, not diminished.  When President Obama was presented with the gift of questionable election results and the spontaneous uprising of the people of Iran, he chose to cowardly remain silent.

The Nobel committee members’ justification for awarding the prize to Obama over 200 nominees boils down to his oratory skills to promise the international changes that the Nobel committee desires, which is multi-nationalism instead of America’s past unilateralism.

The committee stated the reason for his selection was ‘extraordinary efforts to strengthen diplomacy and cooperation between people… and attached special importance to Obama’s vision and work for a world without nuclear weapons.’ This rationale for selecting President Obama defies reality.  The ‘nicey-nice’ diplomatic policy only has allowed Iran and North Korea to buy time to expend their nuclear ambitions.

The Nobel Peace award has followed this formula of promoting rhetoric for 108 years. This agrees with their vision of a diplomatic global approach to solving world problems with little positive results.

Other dubious award winners were former President Jimmy Carter whose weakness encouraged Iran’s American hostage debacle.  The lifelong terrorist, Yassir Arafat won for signing the Camp David Peace Accord, which turned out to be a mirage. Former President Wilson won for being the force behind the League of Nations, a dismal failure leading to WWII. Al Gore won for his ‘Inconvenient Truth’ on global warming which has been shown to have convenient distortions and there has been a host of others who were questionably given the award.

To understand the Nobel Committee agenda it is more important perhaps to look at the people who did not receive the prize.  Mahatma Ghandi who inspired self-determination in India, Winston Churchill, who roused England to victory over Nazi Germany and President Ronald Reagan who pushed the Soviet Union to collapse never were Nobel winners. These men used personal and national strength to achieve peace.

The international diplomatic forums of the League of Nations and United Nations have been abject failures. They establish sanctions against aggressors without enforcing them.  The structure of each of these groups has allowed for hijacking and stalemating of coalitions of evil leaders to stop the sanctions from working. Unfortunately this diplomatic approach has given despots like Fidel and Chavez a world stage to gain invaluable credibility by whitewashing their own inhumanity to man.

Deeds always count far more than talk, promises, or utopian visions. Ask any citizen living under tyranny whether they want freedom or to be forced to follow the dictates of a ruler. The answer is self-evident. The Nobel Peace Prize is out of the bag. It should be entitled the ‘Nobel Prize for Globalism.’ It is a disgrace for the committee to use the word ‘peace’ to hide its true agenda of trans-nationalism.

Any American who wins this phony award should denounce it on behalf of all Americans. The supporting of the demise of the USA through a one-world government is an abomination. It is not a badge of peace; it is a sign of treason to America’s exceptionalism.

PATRIOTS ARE ASSERTING THEMSELVES

PATRIOTS ARE ASSERTING THEMSELVES
By Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D.  Neo Traditionalist

We The People have allowed a small group of radicals to hijack the reins of our government. The lack of our focus on civic duty, our adherence to political correctness and our silence on the blatant ignoring of our Constitution has brought us to the brink of losing our nation.

There is no one to blame for these elites attempting to transform America but us. We have shown disunity and disinterest in protecting our freedoms while we ignorantly went along enjoying the fruits of our liberty. We freely travel in our country and abroad, enjoy free assembly, an array of local public social and sports events and addictive shop-until-you-drop. All these freedoms are up for grabs if we do not hold our representatives accountable for following our Constitution.

Our freedoms of speech and religion have been eroded through political correctness and hate speech laws. These two forms of thought control have been used effectively in communist countries to quiet dissent.  Citizen’s fear of being stereotyped has allowed radical ideologues to surface with little resistance. The right to private ownership, making a profit and the value of the dollar and all the underpinnings of the free market economy are under assault.  We are shaking our heads in disbelief while we do little more than complain.

Most of us have forgotten to pay the price for freedom.  Freedom is not free.

The tide is changing. We are starting to stand up. Our soldiers in Iraq have stolen victory from the jaws of defeat.  These brave men have shown our civilians and the cowardly politicians that when we are united, patriots can prevail. It has inspired high school and college students, mothers: the backbone of the Tea Parties and retirees to speak up saying ‘Enough is Enough!’  Patriots want an end of politicians dismantling our free market system, our moral values, the integrity of the dollar and an end to Marxist indoctrination. These issues have sparked spontaneous grass roots organizations that have allowed new leaders to develop.

Two young freelance reporters exposed the corruption of Acorn. The young singer, Tim Hawkins, on YouTube is singing Government Can, a slick ridiculing of our bizarre government’s take on the economy. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona continues enforcement of illegal immigration laws in the face of federal government threats. He boldly said his power to enforce the law comes from the local people he represents. Joe the Plummer role modeled by his straightforward questioning of the president of the United States that he understood the president works for him. This frank interchange flushed out President Obama’s redistributing of wealth belief for our country. Americans with commitment and conviction to our Constitutional Republic are surfacing all over the nation.

There is no stopping the sprouting of these grassroots activists. The more we exercise our freedom of speech to educate and share information with other Americans the more united and powerful we will become.  The movement to regain our freedom and free market economy is hard to stop.  The sleeping giant, the American people, is awakened.

We shall prevail by courageously speaking the truth to our neighbors, our children, anyone we meet about how government is robbing us of our freedoms.  Americans are by culture open to enthusiastic discussion and sharing of ideas This will empower other people to get the word out about what is happening to our country.

This is exactly what took place at the 9/12 -1.5 million patriots March on Washington. These patriots did not merely complain about losing their country, they exercised their civic duty by spending their own time and money to make a statement to the elites in Washington. All the marchers on that day learned ‘united we stand’ is the path to preserving our Constitutional Republic.  These people: black, brown, yellow, white, young, old, attended the march and in return gained knowledge and pride in being part of the revolution to save America.

Patriots are realizing there are many more people who do believe in our exceptionalism than the small group of radicals who do not.  Americans are going on the offensive to rid our government of egotistical, corrupt elite politicians who are robbing us of our freedoms and rights.  America will prevail as long as we do not wimp out and censor our own right to free speech nor allow a dictatorial government to rob our property and to redistribute it nationally and internationally.

There is no time to waste by complaining.  Speak up as free Americans to everyone you know. Let everyone know your love of our great nation.  Patriotism towards America will overcome and defeat the small group of Maoist malcontents who are attempting to undermine and steal our country.

DUD PARENTS DISABLE CHILDREN

DUD PARENTS DISABLE CHILDREN
By Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D  Neo Traditioalist

Parents, teachers and other caregivers are unwilling to tell children what they have to do and make sure they do it. It is too much work to correct a young child’s actions even for her own good.  Consistently enforcing respectful, appropriate behavior is an exhausting commitment to one’s children.

Traditional parents knew the importance to their children of training them to be proper and decent people. It took immense time and energy to help the child learn the norms of society.  The expectations and high standards were specific and were vigorously enforced. Some over zealous parents pushed too early and too hard which produced some insecure and overachieving personalities. The immense effort  and time needed on the part of the parents has been the major turn-off of these traditional child rearing practices. These realities of parenting have ushered in the permissive materialistic approach to raising children.

The modern way to train a child to listen is to bribe him to keep him out of your hair and to lower your personal expectations until they fit the child’s inappropriate behavior. When there are no standards then there is no need to demand and train a child to follow appropriate ‘normal’ behavior. In a world of no expectations and standards, normal behavior ceases to exist for too many children.

These children are the indicators of a weak, lazy and worst of all, an unloving parent.  The mental health industry does not label the parent with a DUD label: Detached, Undemanding Disorder, because the parents pay the bill for services. The present mental health process scapegoats the victim, the child, the product of a DUD disorder.

Modern children are not being trained in basic habits, skills, moral values and behaviors that traditionally were considered to comprise a normal functioning child. Toddlers were expected to respond to ‘no.’ ‘Stop biting your sister.’ ‘Hold my hand, don’t run into the street” were routinely followed by children. Potty training was completed at 18 months to 2 years. Bedtime was shortly after dinner and wake up time was early in the morning. A young child learned to make eye contact and shake hands with the right hand, was respectful to everyone and did chores to help the family.

Too many modern American parents have lost their way. There are few firm schedules for children to eat, sleep, wake up or do chores. Often when a parent does announce a time frame the child fights it and the parent gives in. Parents are not establishing healthy habits.

The proliferation of labels being used:  Asperger’s Disorder, ADHD, Autism, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Reactive Detachment Disorder to identify the dysfunction of the family in most cases is far off the mark. There are some defective children who are beyond the scope of even the most committed parents to modify and correct. Although the majority of these so-called disabled children who would have received low doses of traditional parenting would never have reached this level of inappropriateness.

DUD parents ignore the lifelong stigma of being legally and medically stamped with the mark of abnormality and inferiority. Parents are not compassionate by consenting to and accepting a mental health label that places their child in a mental health box. They are selfish people not willing to understand that permissiveness and the lack of discipline is destroying their child’s future. Most mature parents can change their lifestyle to help their child develop normal behavior.

It would take effort and time to retrain their children but it is do-able. It does mean a parent will have to re-prioritize life.  Demands of job and personal interests may have to be renegotiated, careers changed or even dropped, interests put on hold for the necessity to spend more time with one’s children.

The ultimate authority figures and best trainers of a child are her parents. We need to celebrate good parenting through social approval. People notice well-behaved children and should praise their behavior to the parents.

Detached and under-demanding parents can be energized to be more conscientious by others telling their child to listen to them. This hopefully should encourage the parents to raise their expectations. The parents of a child who does an inappropriate action such as a 10 year old child bringing a stuffed animal to church, or a 4 year old who is not potty trained, or any child who hits the parent should be politely reminded of the inappropriateness of the child’s behavior by those close to the family.

Parents should understand the clear message that it is their duty to properly socialize their children. The community at large can no longer sit back and allow the child to receive the brunt of the ostracizing by society.

Parent’s unwillingness to be involved and directed to help their children learn appropriateness can no longer be disregarded. The parents need to understand that other adults will hold them responsible for the child’s inappropriateness. Responsible adults must direct their thoughts and feelings to the parents to encourage or pathetically shame them into doing their sacred duty as heads of their household.

The health of the children, marriage and community depends on the parents devoting their energy to doing the best job as a parent. When children are good, kind, productive citizens everyone prospers.

CULLING THE LIVING DOCUMENT TO GET BACK TO THE CONSTITUTION

CULLING THE LIVING DOCUMENT TO GET BACK TO THE CONSTITUTION
By Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D.  Neo Traditionalist

America is on the brink of economic disaster.  Our representatives are spending more money than we have.  Like spending-addicts living above their means they think they can spend the way out of money problems. They do not want to tell us we must face the pain of withdrawing from government entitlements.

Over the years the representatives have circumvented Constitutional restrictions to buy votes to maintain their power. Trying to give everyone everything to win reelection has been a temptation going back to the founding fathers. Those superior thinkers were aware that deficit spending and redistribution of wealth to create a welfare state would eventually destroy any nation.

In 7000 words our Constitution explicitly tells our federal government what it can and cannot do. Our recent governments have ignored the Constitution by creating the notion that it has to be changed to address modern issues.  By compromising our principles we are on the precipice of one world government.

The belief that the Constitution is unworkable and voters are ignorant is widely accepted in the elitist bubble that is Washington, DC.  At their cocktail parties as well as self-promoting speeches in the halls of congress politically pompous elites reinforce the distrust of both. This elitist world has developed an arrogance that can be seen in the revising of our Constitution into a ‘living document.’

The sacred and magnificent document of our founding fathers has been dismissed by elite activists as no longer relevant even though it created the environment for our country to prosper.  This disregard of our constitution is the reason we are in this mess.  It is the core element of the rot in the federal government. Instead of following the precise and clearly worded Constitution, they point to volumes of Supreme Court contorted, legalistic rationalizations for diluting the protections inherent in it.

Many of the activist Supreme Court rulings are clear violations of our Constitution. The recent eminent domain case, Kelo vs. Connecticut, stripped citizen’s property rights by accepting developer’s confiscating the homeowner’s land to increase community revenue.  The Roe vs. Wade decision condones the murder of infants to grant a new so-called right of women to their own bodies.  Allowing the creation of the federal reserve and numerous other devious tactics that avoid following the Constitution such as the appointment of czars, nationalizing the financial and auto industries makes a mockery of our Constitution. Our government is suffering from a cancer and can only survive if we cull the rulings that are undermining the principles and spirit of the Constitution.

We The People must recognize and confront the cancerous, ever expanding monster federal government that is crushing our freedoms as it grows. This cancer is spread by officials employing the “living document’ to avoid the limits on their power which is contained in the Constitution.

Our representatives continue to make unrealistic promises to get elected. They take our money through taxes and redistribute it to special interests. Then they have the temerity to turn around and say how important they are to bring -earmarks- back to the local district. They rob our money: Peter, to pay a special interest: Paul, and expect us to thank them.

We will no longer accept this stinking shell game that has bankrupted our nation’s treasury and moral values. The people need to pull in our belts and suffer the necessary pain to again become financially stable. We need to turn down the bribes by Washington, the pittance of a $250 COLA increase to Social Security, the Cash for Clunkers, the phony stimulus checks and stop the congress voting itself more and more raises to screw up the government.

The citizens of the Great Depression had to correct the abuses of the Roaring 20s. It was not accomplished by President Roosevelt’s spending spree, New Deal. Rather it was paid for through the sacrificing by the Greatest Generation.  The entitlements ended when the war started and the people sacrificed through rationing, victory gardens and the ultimate sacrifice, their lives in WWII. Pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps meant to do whatever was needed to survive and succeed.

America does not have to go down this horrific road of war but we do have to suffer. We cannot just print more money and spend our way out of this unsustainable governance. We must stop asking our representatives to give us what is not their’s to give.

The medicine for saving America will be painful although the sooner we start to correct our anti-Constitutional habits the shorter time we will have to suffer.

This is what we have to do to regain our bearings:
Stop being politically correct: say what you mean and mean what you say but remain civil
Willingly sacrifice your time, energy and money by becoming politically active.
Attend local town hall meetings and demand your representatives answer your questions.
Read the Constitution and know the Constitutional responsibilities of elected officials and hold them accountable for their actions.
Teach civics and American history to our children.

It will be either the political hacks or the voters who elect them who influence our government representatives on the local, state and federal level.  When citizens are not involved, government will repress freedom and prosperity.

Freedom is not free.  Performing our duty as citizens is the only thing that separates us from tyranny. We are on the verge of losing for our children and grandchildren what we were given by our ancestors: American exceptionalism.

COMBAT POLITICAL CORRECTNESS: GO ON THE OFFENSIVE

COMBAT POLITICAL CORRECTNESS : GO ON THE OFFENSIVE
By Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D.    Neo Traditionalist

Political correctness is conforming to political/social expectations. These new expectations have been socially engineered by the elites who want to transform our society. It is a Marxist technique to undermine western values.  In the extreme political correctness is the demand of a totalitarian state to follow the party line.

Political correctness has been a powerful tool to prevent citizens from speaking and hearing the truth. By the use of media propaganda pitting one group against another and indoctrinating children with television and in youth groups has made particular subjects taboo. The PC re-education takes place daily in our schools and universities. It has changed the cultural complexion of America. The practice of “Political Correctness” will gradually transform the cultural complexion of any society.

Totalitarian regimes use it to keep citizens isolated from each other. People in communist nations had to go into a back room, scan the room for listening devices before talking about meaningful issues. Open discussions of political and religious subjects were muzzled through the fear of authority’s reprisals.  Citizens were intimidated not to share their thoughts and beliefs.

Over the past 50 years there has been a frontal attack on our culture. Traditional moral values that created American exceptionalism have been systematically decimated. God, the Ten Commandments, the flag, personal responsibility, competition, the work ethic, patriotism, civility and chivalry have become negative values. Masculinity and femininity have been blurred to create gender confusion.

Unthinkable a short time ago, Kevin Jennings, a radical homosexual activist has been appointed the- safe school czar- under the Obama administration. According to his writing, he advised a 14 year-old boy who was having sex with an older man to wear a condom. He illegally did not report this incident to the authorities. Yet, he is in a powerful position to impose his announced agenda on impressionable minds. His ascending into the executive branch shows the power of political correctness to shut down the dissent against homosexual indoctrination.

A bonus to the homosexual special interest was attached to our military budget to underhandedly make thought, not conduct a hate crime. This means the government is empowering one group over another.

As the dependency on the government grows, it becomes easier for people to relinquish their freedom for greater security. The top-down decrees, rather than the bottom-up values are accomplished by making promises to the already dependent citizens. Coercion is used on the most adamantly individualistic patriots to submit to the power of the state.

Anyone opposing the undermining of our institutions can be ostracized and demonized by the use of politically incorrect labels such as homophile, racist, right-winger or even capitalist. Rush Limbaugh has been outrageously slandered by lies that paint him a racist to prevent him from becoming a part owner of a national football league team.

The politically correct bomb stops any open discussion of major societal changes. This strategy has been effective in totalitarian governments, ramming down their throats policies that would not have been approved by free citizens. This can only happen when people cower in a corner and watch their freedoms being stripped away one by one.

An article in the Russian newspaper, Pravda, called the American people sheeple. Ben Franklin said: ‘Make yourselves sheep and the wolves will eat you.’ We better wake up or lose our nation. Political bullies win when citizens no longer have the courage to say, “How dare you.” Standing up together against the bully caused him to cowardly back down.

Americans need to say what they think regardless of government threats. This would erase the power of political correctness and the unconstitutional- hate crimes- thought crimes. It would empower citizens to take action like voting out self-serving representatives and change the debate to solidify our freedoms rather than diluting them.

America has a built in repellent for this type of INVASION WITHIN. It is our Constitution and Bill of Rights sacredly written by our founding fathers. Speaking without fear and making personal sacrifices in time and money to support our constitution will invigorate American exceptionalism.

We are beginning to courageously go on the offensive as true patriots. This strategy will allow us to regain and stabilize our freedom. God Bless America.

AN "I" PRESIDENCY IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL

AN "I" PRESIDENCY IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL

by Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D. Neo Traditionalist

President Obama, You will be the president at least until 2012. Every historian will refer to the years you served as chief of the executive branch as the "Obama Presidency." There are many other elected representatives, appointed officials, advisors and the American public who are also going to be instrumental in all the achievements.

In the first 41 speeches as president you have used the word "I" 1200 times. In your speech to schoolchildren you mentioned "I" 57 times. This may be an old habit, like smoking, that is hard to break, but it is damaging to student’s understanding of how the US government works. It is not about a single individual but rather about a magnificent document that has guided us to greatness.

It is understandable that you cannot control all your underlings or supporters but you do have a responsibility to reprimand them when they are not doing what is right.

Your Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, approved a curriculum guide to go along with your speech to students. It asked these impressionable young people to write to themselves about how they were inspired by and could help President Obama. This smacks of a propaganda tactic especially when Broward County superintendent of schools mandated that all students listen to your speech or be punished. A school in Burlington, New Jersey has students sing songs specifically praising you. This was sung to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Hello Mr. President, we honor you today

For all your great accomplishments.

Another song is:

Mmm-mmm-mm
President Hussein Obama,
He said all must lend a hand
To make this country great…
mmm-mmm-mm
He said red, yellow, black and white
All are equal in his sight.

The last two lines are paraphrased from a Christian children’s song: Jesus Loves Me. The using of this line is absurd when children are not allowed to talk about God, or even pledge the flag, sing Christmas carols and certainly are not allowed to pray.

Your White House Director of Public Engagement, Buffy Wicks, arranged a national conference call with 75 members of the National Endowment of the Arts. These artists, many of who received grants were told to create artworks to support your political agenda. This year the NEA had received $170,000,000 dollars of federal money. This is wrong on so many levels. Taxpayer’s money should not be used for indoctrination of the public.

You are not reluctant to apologize to foreign countries for our imperfections as well as our achievements. These speeches do audaciously create the impression that you intend to lead the world.

The reality is you are the President of the United States not of the world. You will honor the office of the President of the United States by disassociating yourself from people in your administration and supporters who want to create a cult allegiance to you. Our constitution does everything to prevent our government falling into the hands of a despot.

George Washington, our great first president chose to relinquish power after serving his terms rather than exploiting his popularity and accomplishments to remain in power as a cult monarchist. He and other great patriots fought and sacrificed in the revolution and wanted to leave a legacy for future generations. They established a constitution restraining the power of government to better insure it serves the people rather than the politician’s greed. The three branches of government with its checks and balances and Bill of Rights was a gift to all of us.

The head of the executive branch is an important position but it was consciously not given imperial powers. Everything accomplished during any administration of a president is done in conjunction with the senate, congress and judiciary branches.

No one person, including a president, can claim he did anything by himself. It would be a foolish notion. It would demoralize citizens and many people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make America great.

A cult of personality like that behind Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, or Moammar Kaddafi would destroy our institutions. Our government is an integrated system based on principles not on a charismatic individual like was seen in communist Russia, China or Nazi Germany. These leaders were given godlike status and citizens were forced to pay tribute to them. This worshipping of any person results in repression and economic disaster. These tyrants might stay in power many years through their political organized thuggery but do nothing to help the citizens of the country.

America’s exceptionalism is derived from free and productive citizens who are protected by our constitution from an ever-increasing central government’s tendency toward corruption.

President Obama, our government schools, instead of brainwashing students should instruct them in history and civics. This will inoculate them against accepting totalitarian governments based on a cult of personality.

THE MOB HAS TO LEARN ADULATION

THE MOB HAS TO LEARN ADULATION

By Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D  Neo Traditionalist

Our dedicated elected representatives and highly educated elites should be venerated, not put on the spot and be expected to answer specific technical questions. The national health care legislation is presently a series of incomplete bills that are too long and complicated to read without a group of lawyers to interpret. The Town Hall meetings scheduled by our officials should be forums where our leaders dictate what they are doing to make out lives better. It is not an event for uninformed masses to demand answers to deliberately complex issues.

President Obama had to reprimand Americans for spreading false information about nationalizing health care. He invoked a Biblical reference against sinning by bearing false witness.  Speaker of the House, Pelosi, saw fascism in the sign held by a toddler in a stroller which had a swastika with the well know “No” sign around and through it. Elitist comedienne, Jeanine Garafalo, psychically knew the implied racism of the citizen mobs at the Tea Parties and columnist, Maureen Dowd, speculated that the white republican senators are racist as they question Supreme Court candidate, Sotomayer’s, earlier statements.

Our cultural elites deserve more of our gratitude and deference than this riff raff can understand and appreciate.  Americans no longer understand their place nor trust the judgment of their superior government officials. These federal officials are working an incredible 140 days  out of 365 and are paid a meager $174,000 taxpayer dollars with the best health benefit package plus access to the new official jets. We citizens are not paying enough for congressmen to face an aggressive questioning from nobodies. The traditional belief that congressmen should work for the people is fantasy in the 21st century.

In our modern complex world our leaders have reached a high level of enlightenment that citizens cannot understand. They are hobnobbing with celebrities, intellectuals and lobbyists and have sharpened their ability to get re-elected to better service themselves and their very important special interests. These powerful cronies provide the donations to assure their re-elections and continued exposure in their insulated powerful world of Washington.

Understandably many government bigwigs feel frustrated by the unintelligent and crude behavior of the masses attending their well- orchestrated meetings. Barney Frank had to respond to a stupid question by politely brushing off the stammering questioner by stating: “to have a conversation with you would be like having a conversation with a dining room table.” He showed his usual patience, tolerance and class when dealing with a person well below his social standing.

These angry mobs want their representatives to listen to their questions. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee could not courteously disregard answering her cell phone while her constituent, a cancer survivor, was asking the second question of the meeting. “I don’t have to be here,” Senator Spector of Pennsylvania, has more important business to deal with than idiotic questions from the audience. He looked at his watch while a low level person was speaking. This was not a rude act as some have concluded. He is a legend in his own mind and should not be expected to devote his energy and valuable time to explain why he is supporting another bill that will substantially increase our taxes and national debt.

In the past, protesting was the ultimate sign of patriotism. Now it is the sign of ignorant racist people who still believe in the Constitution of the United States. These misguided rabble -rousers have the audacity to expect government workers to work for the people. This erroneous idea must be squelched to stop  further abuse of our elite to encourage them to continue the transformation of our society.

In order to accomplish this “radical change,” representatives should use ID information to determine political suitability of anyone entering town hall meetings. Union lackeys can be used to stack the audience and provide a level of intimidation. Loud mouth protesters would understand that there would be physical consequences for their arrogant outspokenness.

Another method of controlling the mobs is having telephone conferences. All questions can be screened in advance. Anyone who has raised controversial issues should be identified and placed in an internment camp for re-education.

Loyal citizens should report any oppositional zealots through email directly to the executive branch.  Establishing a “snitch squad” along with a civilian paramilitary corps equally as strong as the military should enable government officials to better control any malcontents through calibrated political tactics of personal destruction.

In the “New Politics,” citizens must be intimidated to honor their government officials. The restraining of government experimentation through the implementation of the Constitution must end for the greater good.

We must squelch the voices of the people to sneak in Fidel/Chavez style socialism. Freedom of speech of ordinary citizens needs be replaced with the extraordinary expertise of the politically connected. This will make the USA a third world dictatorship with some mighty rich and powerful politicians.

THE END OF INTERROGATION INSURES PEACE

THE END OF INTERROGATION INSURES PEACE

By Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D  Neo Traditionalist

Even though we are the most charitable nation on earth, so called “terrorists” despise us for our prosperity and freedom. Our brilliant intellectuals have astonishingly concluded we must try to win their hearts. According to these psychological geniuses the moral high ground will persuade people and nations who hate us to forgive our transgressions against humanity.

Only by prostrating ourselves in front of our enemies can we hope to live in peace. Psychological interrogation will reinforce the belief that America is an evil nation. This will increase the hatred and likely attacks from other nation’s “freedom fighters.” Friendship with our enemies, not threats or psychological interrogation is the way to peace.

The United States of America needs to use empathy and compassion to befriend our enemies to change their perception of us. Once terrorists see us extend our hands, everlasting peace will be established.  Scotland’s release of the Lockerbie bomber who killed hundreds of innocent passengers demonstrates progressive diplomatic thinking. Americans wrongly think the hero’s welcome in Libya of this man demonstrates a victory for terrorism, instead it is a win for tolerance and acceptance.

We need to treat these degenerate terrorists in a gracious manner, not make them suffer discomfort. This compassion will provide great dividends opening up a dialogue with nations housing future terrorists. When evil killers are treated humanely, their hatred is turned to respect and admiration. It is the sweet talk between a friendly U.S. interviewer and a terrorist, not fear, that motivates trained killers of innocent people to spout information about their comrade’s tactics and whereabouts. These converts will instantly become advocates of understanding and peace towards the USA amongst the haters of our prosperous and free nation.

The majority of Americans are reactionaries who must be reeducated to learn modern reality. In the short run, the use of enhanced interrogation techniques may have saved millions of American lives by exposing deadly plots. Khalid Sheik Mohammed only sang like a bird after being “water boarded,” although he may have given the same information after many years of afternoon tea with a friendly agent. In the long run even when we receive vital information in the interest of America, we should be concerned about the terrorist’s self-esteem.  These terrorists may be upset at being seen as weak hypocrites as they have feelings too.

Our ignorant citizens might think interrogation is a good way of saving innocent lives although they do not understand psychological coercion will endanger our soldiers and civilians when they are captured. Instead of terrorist’s normal physical torture of victims ending in decapitation like Daniel Pearl, terrorists will ratchet up their methods of torture to the harsher sleep deprivation, loud rock music and water boarding. The psychological interrogation obviously is seen as more horrific than losing one’s head.

The CIA’s demise by creating an interagency headed by the FBI, using warm and fuzzy conversations will show other nations we want to win their favor. Intimidating CIA agents by raising the possibility of prosecuting them for doing their job and downgrading the overall power of the agency will show our desire to be easier targets.  Antagonistic nations will see we want to punish ourselves by releasing enemy combatants 96 hours after capture to a terrorist friendly organization. This open display of self- loathing, naivety and softness will be the catalyst to change the entire world’s evil ways.

Our long established “peace through strength,” advocated by George Washington and followed by succeeding presidents has to be erased from memory by revisionist history. It would not be easy since it has worked well for ancient civilizations and helped the US to experience life without the horrors of war.

The untested and intuitively absurd behavior of “making nice” with cold blooded combatants that does not bear results, is a better method of gaining intelligence than old fashioned “good cop, bad cop.” Politicians who repeat over and over again that information obtained by enhanced interrogation techniques could have been obtained just as rapidly and effectively by using the delusional friendship approach think they will win this debate. This repetition of blatant propaganda they believe will allow the gullible masses to renounce their “lying eyes.” We just have to forget all that we have learned when dealing with bullies in our own lives.

The end of interrogation will mean less intelligence, more internal and national terrorist attacks on the United States. Eventually as America is devoured piece by piece we will no longer have our wealth and spirit.  America will not be worth coveting. At this point we no longer will be able to afford a sophisticated interrogation program. With the downgrading of our status as a nation, we will no longer be a threat to anyone. This will give us a delusional belief that peace has finally arrived.

BITTER MEDICINE IS FOR FOOLS

BITTER MEDICINE IS FOR FOOLS

By Domenick J. Maglio Ph.D.   Neo Traditionalist

Our mothers were dead wrong when they told us that we had to take bitter medicine to get well.  Our country has learned better ways to deal with not only personal but also national problems. We have progressed to artificial flavor to bribe children to consume more expensive cures of questionable effectiveness. The price of the remedy is not the issue as long as we can delay and suppress the symptoms long enough for everyone to be relieved. The sick persons and the people around them will not have to deal with the old process of worrying and hoping for recovery.

The recent death of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop icon, has advanced our culture. Michael was a man who made billions of dollars but spent more to meet every one of his instant desires. Even with being in debt $400 million he had the class to rent a modest 20 room home for only $100,00 a month. He was found to have his own professional staff monitoring his use of exotic sweet drug cocktails to reach total ecstasy.

Michael was a model for all of us. He transcended gender and race and he stood for whatever you wanted. His gliding moonbeam moves epitomized style. He was a metaphor for the wonderful way our nation is dealing with our problems and the world’s.

The Pop Culture has been victorious. There is no reason to delay our gratification for a better future. We are in a wonderful world where anyone can get credit regardless of his or her ability to repay. One’s personal reputation and job performance are irrelevant. Past behavior is not an indicator of future success. All of us have a right to a perfect existence.

Living in high style above our means is much better than saving for a rainy day. When the rain starts to fall, the only things we have to do are take out our “plastic” and purchase an umbrella or a new home. There are some pathetic losers who stayed on the sidelines as the housing frenzy took off. Flipping homes was a great way of increasing one’s wealth on paper by just exaggerating one’s assets and income while under reporting one’s financial obligations.

When the merry-go-round came to a grinding halt, the smart compulsive homebuyers had already gained wealth on paper. The upside-down mortgages they ended up with were either bailed out by the government mortgage program or the homes merely went back to the bank. In this new big government era the modern risk takers knew the government would insure their investment.

There is no right or wrong in reaching your dreams. Addicted homebuyers, druggies and spending government politicians understand if you can get a “fix” then you can remain in permanent ecstasy. There is no reason to face the brutal reality of the past as long as you can connive staying a step ahead of our latest Ponzi scheme. There is no future, there is only today.

Michael’s inspired grassroots movement of throwing caution to the wind was so innovative that the federal government decided to follow this ingenious path. The Federal Reserve Bank and the U.S. Treasury realized that instead of suffering the bitter taste of a recession, all they needed to do was print money night and day.

The mantra taken directly from the counter-revolution handbook of the 1960s is: live for today and screw everyone else. It has become the guiding light of the modern existence. Politicians, celebrities, CEOs and even average citizens are learning how to apply these principles to become an instant though short-lived success in this new era.

Big Daddy government has the resources and power to meet our every desire. All personal missteps or questionable government policies can be corrected with the simple strategy of throwing money at it. Ridding us of the old concept of hardship, savings and responsibility ushered in the new self-indulgent credit card and big government caring-for-all-of-our-needs lifestyle.

We are in a new, non-judgmental era where no poor soul has to suffer consequences for poor choices epitomized by Michael Jackson’s death. Being responsible for one’s actions or the government for it’s actions is harmful for everyone’s psyche and economic well being. The only people attempting to hold onto the values of persevering, sacrifice, respect while confronting pain and problems head-on are rigid morons. These people have not transcended antiquated patterns of the past. They do not understand that modern thought has advanced to the level where we can use our persona to resolve our own and national problems.

Let us enjoy every moment of our fantasy pop culture. History buffs are shouting we are duplicating the devastating German Weimar Republic. So what? We will not take the depressingly bitter remedy to save our future. La La land is a much better place to be than having the aggravation of succeeding in the real world. At least we have the fantastic Michael Jackson video clips and our personally promoted glories of our former artificially inflated life style.

We might live a self-absorbed and purposeless life to the detriment of future generations. At least we are not hypocrites and fools who are trying to be positive role models of the past. Our 15 minutes of fame beats taking the bitter reality-medicine of the past.

THE CONSTITUTION HAS AND WILL SAVE AMERICA: NOT REVOLUTION

THE CONSTITUTION HAS AND WILL SAVE AMERICA: NOT REVOLUTION

BY DOMENICK J. MAGLIO PH.D.   NEW TRADITIONALIST

The vast majority of US citizens do not understand the exceptionalism of our constitution. On one side there is dissatisfaction with this traditional document by people who want rapid change to instantly correct inequities in our societies. The other side is frightened that our constitution is being cynically dismantled leaving citizens stripped of their right to freedom and property.

Both sides have members who advocate a violent revolution as the only means of either abolishing or restoring the founding father’s legacy to our nation. Our founders were well read common sense giants who understood that a violent revolution would result in destruction, death and chaos.

They intensely studied history of past civilizations to glean the best form of government. These great levelheaded men spent over forty days in debate of the best means of formulating the document. Their long and careful deliberation did not end in rancor but in consensus of conviction of the principles of the constitution.

These self educated, committed and brave leaders were realists who understood human nature, the corrupting influence of power and the wisdom of the people. They did not believe that expert intellectuals had more competence in running the country than did the people.

The constitution that they crafted has delivered us through historical crises over the past 230 years. From the succession of George Washington to the War of 1812, the Civil War, numerous recessions and depressions including the Great Depression, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War and through the Iraq war our nation has weathered the storm of each of these crises.

The ship our founders built is sturdy and possesses a wonderful stabilizing system. It was deliberately made to be difficult and slow to turn. The steering mechanism was brilliantly designed to avoid quick turns to the right or the left that may result in capsizing.  It was built to withstand the forces that pull us toward chaotic freedom without responsibility, as well as countervailing winds that might push us to abandon all our freedoms for tyranny.

We are not a “Banana Republic” with constant political revolution. The strength of our nation over time has been our stability and predictability provided by our constitution.

The US currency, protection of our property, freedom of speech and the free enterprise system has been the envy of the world.

The implementation of three branches of government, checks an balances and the amendment process makes our constitution as much a relevant document today as it was at its inception.

The limiting of the federal government’s power, state’s rights and the ability of the people to vote out non-representative elected officials makes a violent revolution unnecessary and unlikely. Our constitution provides for citizens to have the power to make the representatives of government accountable. We the People are rearing our heads demanding the constitution be followed. It has and will continue to restrain tyranny.

American citizens have the magnificence of a divinely inspired constitution giving us the opportunity for a peaceful revolution every 2, 4 and 6 years. The only thing necessary to achieve these changes is aware citizenry who unite and rise up to do their civic duty by voting out the unprincipled and corrupt. Our constitution gives the power to the people not the elite.

Our forefathers handed us a great document for a federal republic on a silver platter. It limits the base nature of man that frees us to focus on being a civilized and prosperous people. The only things we need to do are get involved and unite in telling our representatives what we want. They either do what we want or we find other more patriotic people who will do their constitutional duty.

The present undermining of our constitution by the political elite is the people’s fault. We have not exercised our civic power. Citizens must stay politically aware to select the representatives who will uphold the constitution. We need to stand up in political forums and even go to the street to protest unconstitutional actions. Government officials work for us, the people. We will never accept being dependent slaves to the state.

When we reach the tipping point of the anti constitutionalist elite jeopardizing the stability and freedom inherent in our constitution by resorting to violence we have an obligation to bear arms to regain our constitution.  The rejection of the blueprint of our freedom: our constitution, should never be accepted by the American people.

OBAMA AND GEORGE W. ARE ON THE SAME PATH

OBAMA AND GEORGE W. ARE ON THE SAME PATH

By Domenick J. Maglio PhD    Neo Traditionalist

Former President George W. Bush and current President Obama both enjoyed playing golf, dining in the finest settings all over the world, having a private staff and Air Force One to meet their every want and being the most powerful person in the world. Each involved himself in a war: Bush- Iran, Obama- Afghanistan. The Bush administration would not close Gitmo or reveal White House visiting logs and Obama’s has decided to do the same.

Most Americans perceived President Bush as a bumbling speaker. The people on the political right initially thought he was a down-to-earth Texan who believed in traditional moral values. He pretended to be a free market conservative who believed in Americans being the best competitive workers in the world.

The left thought he was a sinister leader attempting to squash any opposition to a US empire. They deeply believed he was not intelligent and a parochial man who was a puppet to a right wing conspiracy ready to exploit other nations for the benefit of America.

Both the left and the right were wrong. G.W. Bush proved himself to be a big government advocate who passed “No Child Left Behind” and a very expansive and costly Medicare drug option. He wanted to gently move us towards a global economy. Many liberal administrative and ex-corporate executives staffed his second term. The staff assisted him in executing a softer policy and a too-big-to-fail TARP bailout. He stated, in conjunction with President elect Obama, he had to act immediately to stave off financial collapse by suspending capitalism. He is a global internationalist who attempted to use his world, political and corporate friendships to forge a world order based on money, not on national interest.

President Obama, not having these political and corporate family relationships is applying a different tactic to reach a similar goal. He is taking control of the US corporations to reorganize the United States down to the level of the rest of the world. By redistributing our assets and technology to other more underprivileged countries a more peaceful and fairer world with greater opportunities will be established for all world citizens.

President Obama is appearing to create a climate of good will with his adversaries. It does not matter that there are no substantive policy changes. Although he has made monetary pledges to foreign countries, his primary method to develop a more peaceful and harmonious existence for all nations is by persuading the multitudes about great changes to come in cultural and religious thought.

An editor of Newsweek, Evan Thomas, sums up his appeal. “I mean, in a way Obama stands above the country- above the world. He is sort of a god.”

Obama took the baton from Bush with a burst towards an autocratic government controlled corporate empire and the burial of capitalism. He pushed his “anti-stimulus, reorganization” of America. This unread, $780 billion package has led to the transferring of billions of dollars to assist IMF, foreign financial institutions and nationalize some of our financial, insurance institutions and the auto industry.  Chrysler has been outsourced with billions of our dollars to Fiat of Italy. The UFW was paid back for its campaign assistance and donations by becoming being major owners of auto companies.

Chrysler and GMC dealerships were dictatorially closed without any transparent criteria. These local dealerships received no compensation for decades of their blood, sweat and tears. The $780 billion (anti stimulus money) is being used as a political slush fund to pay back favors and quickly organize a shadow government. It is not being used as a means of job creation as stated.

The modus operandi of this administration is to override the constitution by appointing czars/dictators without congressional consent, decreeing major policies into law without congress deliberating, intimidating citizens to take pathetic offers they “cannot refuse.” All of these changes are creating crisis and chaos in the hearts of Americans.

In the last electoral cycle European nations were moving away from socialism, America is speeding towards nationalizing industries. The transformation of the US into a centrally controlled government-corporate state has been noted by the infamous Russian government controlled newspaper, Pravda on 4/27/09. The paper stated that America has a substandard education based on pop culture not on academic knowledge and skills. This disastrous educational system has weakened America’s rugged individualism creating “sheeple” who are accepting without a fight the losing of freedoms and the imposing of Marxist governmental policies on our country.

Former President Bush strategy was to blend into a global world order not to maintain America’s exceptionalism. He understood that NAFTA, SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership created in 2005 to form the North American Union) and amnesty are ways to undermine our sovereignty. Using this gradual step-by-step process our nationhood and constitution would be surgically dismantled.

President Obama has taken a different tactic. Instead of doing it piecemeal his approach is to make a frontal assault on capitalism and the American way. Everyday there is a different crisis he generates as an opportunity to make radical changes, to redistribute Americana’s wealth and form a “new world disorder,” with him as the new leader/statesman of all the world.

The difference between Bush and Obama is Bush was decaf coffee and Obama is super espresso but both are coffee.

OUR FATHERS GAVE SO MUCH: WE SHOULD NOT GIVE IT AWAY

OUR FATHERS GAVE SO MUCH: WE SHOULD NOT GIVE IT AWAY

By Domenick J. Maglio PHD   New Traditionalist

June 6th was the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Normandy. It is hard to imagine the courage and willpower displayed by our fathers and grandfathers in this near suicide mission. Almost defying reality our men arrived in high seas weighed down by their equipment and had to rush the beach under a hail of enemy fire.  Our rangers scaled 100-foot sheer cliffs with bullets raining down from Germans shooting at point blank range. Our soldier’s incredible determination preserved the freedom of western civilization.

Our forefathers throughout history have been extraordinary role models. From the beginning, Americans sacrificed their family assets and even lives to establish the nation. Our brave military men recently defied the majority in congress to bring safety and stability to Iraq after the political elites proclaimed we were defeated. The contentious Iraq issue was muted.

Our own fathers sacrificed through their disciplined lifestyle making America and the world a better place for the next generation. On the other hand, our present generation is silently robbing our grandchildren’s money to live “high on the hog.” It is no surprise the “me generation” majority in power are allowing this mortgaging of our treasury to continue their self-absorbed life style.

On this Father’s Day, the rape of our children and grandchildren’s future should horrify fathers of all ages. The greatest federal debt in our history keeps on growing with little protest. It is the father’s duty to protect his family and to give his children the same opportunities he was given by his father and forefathers.

The scandalous, ever increasing national give-away perhaps directly benefit our individual lives, but will have to be paid by our children. The American dream that has been an integral part of our lives will become the American nightmare for our offspring.

Obama speaks in eloquent generalities about our economy but he and his predecessor, George Bush, have sold our financial future to the obscene tune of 9 trillion dollars to foreign investors, especially China. Our national defense and counter intelligence budgets have been placed on the back burner while financial and insurance corporations and the United States auto industry have been practically nationalized with US tax dollars. The secure bondholders of GM and Chrysler were robbed or their assets and the UAW members were granted billions of dollars amounting to significant ownership in GMC.

The “transformational politics” have turned out to be the old special interest paybacks. Congress acquiesces to demands of the White House without following the sworn constitutional obligations. Czars are appointed to bypass congressional oversight responsibility. Outrageous spending bills are approved without the required deliberate legislative debate or even the reading of the bills. The press is paralyzed in celebrity adulation from asking any questions of obvious inconsistent statements or blatant errors and lies not to shatter the momentum towards a utopian world vision.

The majority of Americans know our constitutional federal government is not functioning correctly as it has in the past. All our present luckiest and most selfish generation can do is complain to family and friends about our fears for the present or future retirement. The slightest inconvenience to our lifestyle or time is rejected as too much of a burden.

Unlike past generations we are not at a point where we have to risk our lives and assets. We just have to spend some money and effort to motivate our congressmen to do their duty or lose their jobs. Through calling, emails and visiting our congressional representatives we can energize them to do the right thing. Our opportunity will come to go into the streets for a peaceful assembly of citizens to send the message: “enough is enough.”

It is unconscionable to allow our national government to sell our country to the highest bidder. We should not give our nation away after so many of our ancestors worked so hard to create and maintain it. Either we do our duty as citizens in the greatest country on earth or we will lose our freedom and demean the great sacrifices of our fathers and grandfathers.

Auctioning off the future of our children and grandchildren to an out-of-control “nanny state” in order to meet our selfish needs will make us the worst, most ungrateful generation in US history.

On this Father’s Day we owe it to our children, grandchildren and ourselves to leave a legacy of which we can be proud.  By standing up to do the right thing we can preserve the America, which was handed to us by our forefathers. Our children deserve no less.
